I am most saddened that the Democratic Party has left me. It has become as corrupt as I always thought the Republican party was. I am now an Independent voter, but it is not a very good feeling.

I have been an independent voter for many years. For myself, this is a comfortable choice. It became clear to me that any organization, political, religious, professional, needed to be examined closely. By following this idea I found in every case a group of individuals who seldom agreed with every ideaology or creed I embraced ;so many were able to agree to disagree on ideas ,compromise when necessary, and respect each other. I began to understand the concept of finding the center. Being an independent in any area does not mean you have to be isolated. I hope you find, as I have, that the concept allows you to enjoy the other people this political view allows you to meet and that the very idea of listening, really istening, allows you to never be trapped inside an idea that is narrow- and allows no room for others who do not completely agree.
